I feel like this is something you'd read on one of those rag magazines in the checkout lane at the grocery store - but we will go with it! I just learned today that Old Man Winter has been married to Mother Nature for the last few years. Who'da thunk it? She is several million years his junior... talk about cradle robbing! Anyway, looks like things are getting tense in the North Pole because it's being reported she kicked him out and he's trying to relocate. Where to? How about South Jersey?
And where it will be tomorrow:
....And Friday morning:
What I have represented here are 850 millibar temps. This is how cold it is about 5,000 feet above our heads. We are looking at roughly -10 celcius which is about 14 fahrenheit. Don't worry it's not going to be THAT cold at the surface (don't forget that temperature decreases with altitude.
Looks like we will moderate a tad for a couple days but then a resurgence of cold comes in early next week.
The GFS is now picking up on it:
This will go back and forth for a couple more days. By Friday we should have a much better idea. Seems crazy to be talking about snow this early, but we DID see a storm early November last year! Stay tuned :)
