Good Morning and Happy Labor Day All - sorry it took so long for me to get this posted this morning, there is A LOT of data to review and I want to make sure I'm going over everything with a fine tooth comb so I can keep you updated with the best information. There's no secret. Dorian is an absolute beast of a storm and for a split second yesterday rivaled Hurricane Allen (1980) as the strongest storm ever on record. At its peak, Dorian had sustained winds of 185mph with gusts to 200mph + and a central pressure below 910mb. That is STRONG. Luckily it has weakened a little bit but it's like splitting hairs, don't ever get a false sense of security with this thing - winds are still at 165mph.
