This is all happening SO fast! Remember just a couple weeks ago we were longing for rain? Our pattern was NOT conducive for wet weather of any type. As soon as the pattern flipped though, we got stormy. We will likely stay stormy through early November at this point on and off.
Even if the storm DOES shift slightly more north, the outcome of the tide height wouldn't be affected much. Again, the MOON PHASE and us being in between helps us out big time.
Amount of rain will vary greatly by location. I could absolutely see 1/2" - 1"through Cape May county. Could be areas closer to 2". I'm hesitant to go "all in" because the NAM model DOES tend to overdo precipitation at times. I think 1/2" to 1.5" is a safe call. Less the farther north and west you go.
Winds will be an issue AGAIN for the third event in a row. Not AS bad as Thursday but they'll gust to around 40mph at the coast. Again, just like the rain, the winds will subside north and west. Some pretty good gusts 25-30mph on the mainland.
I'll post updates throughout the day. I'm not anticipating many changes and I believe by later in the afternoon we will have a SOLID idea of what's coming. For SOME it will be a washout... others, maybe not so much. Point blank - Sunday will NOT be a nice day for most. Stay tuned!
