Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a day to gobble 'til you wobble. A day to spend with your friends, family and loved ones. A day to reflect on memories of the past and make new ones to reflect on at a later date. A day to be thankful. We are all on our own personal journey that takes us through the wild ride that is called life. Each one of us has a unique set of circumstances, trials, tribulations, achievements and conquered milestones. No matter what goes on in our day to day lives, we all have something to be thankful for.
I didn't have it easy growing up. I went through things no pre-teen should, but it shaped me into the man I am today. I am actually thankful for the journey I've traveled because I can use those experiences to help kids that may be in my situation, all these years later. I would have never dreamed 20 years ago that I would be in a situation where I could thrive in digital media while being self-sufficient. Amazing how things progress.
I am thankful for so much, I can't even begin to put it all into words. I know so many wonderful people. I work for an amazing company that wants to make a difference in the lives of everyone in our community. I have the ability to wake up each and every day and do what I've wanted to do since I was 5 years old.
I am thankful for the LOCAL BUSINESSES that support what I do. Without folks like ComforNow, Berges Awning, Johnson's Appliances, Kensington Furniture, Square Theatres, Franklin Bank & East Coast Roofing, It wouldn't be possible to continue to do this. Remember to shop LOCAL!!
I am EXTREMELY thankful for YOU... my followers and viewers, MANY of which have become very close friends over the years. Thank for you the love, support, encouragement and interest in my work. You guys are the best! You have given me a platform to not only practice what I love but to give back to the community and "pay it forward" in various ways. I sincerely appreciate the trust and faith you put in my forecasts. It means the world to me. It's almost 2020, there are HUNDREDS of media outlets all over the place you could get your weather, but you choose to come to me. It's very humbling. I have no ambitions to move onto a different market. I've been presented the opportunity several times in the past, but my heart is right here in South Jersey.
2019 was a big year for me. LOTS of things happened. I married the love of my life, Brandon. I am thankful that I have a husband that supports me in all my endeavors and is always there to help and encourage. We bought a house and adopted another dog. I had a company close down, I went independent and took a job in New York, while still staying here. I've started a new annual food drive with your amazing support and we continue to push forward with the AC Christmas parade. Yes. Big year.
I am thankful to have a bigger family now. My husbands family "adopted" me 5 years ago. Wonderful people. Crazy, but wonderful. I always wanted the feeling of a large family, and now I have it.
I am extremely fortunate to be where I am, and I don't take it for granted one bit. I will continue to use my platform to help those who need a voice or some extra help for the holidays.... or to fight for fair train service ;) I hope you all have an AMAZING holiday and lease stay safe on the roads, eat as much as you can and enjoy the day with those around you.
